WITH THIS RING

Julia’s Spirit Launches New Product – Divine Bodies (celebration of the female body)

On Saturday, December 16, 2006, a new product was launched by Julia Ficklin, creator and proprietor of Julia’s Spirit LLC which is a business that advocates striving for wellness and wholeness of women through self-love. One of Julia’s passions in life is her zeal and commitment to encouraging women to Love themselves unconditionally. She strongly believes that healing comes through self-love. She affirms that when we are truly loving ourselves we are healing ourselves. This concept resonated with Julia so strongly that in 2004 she made the ultimate commitment of self-love to herself. She married herself, sealing the intention with vows of love to herself in mind, body and spirit. The inception of the “With this Ring” Affirmations was a result of Julia’s matrimonial union with self. The name “With this Ring” symbolizes the ring (cowry shell) that Julia wears as a constant reminder of the vows of love that she has made to herself.

The new product, decorative ceramic (gloss finished) display tiles for the home are testimonies of Julia’s ongoing advocacy of promoting the importance of Loving ourselves at all stages of our journeys in life. The tiles are adorned with gold leafed images of the female body. Some of the images are whimsical and fun, while others are more true to form and abstracts. The spirits of the images however all convey the same message. That message is the celebration of the female body at its various stages. The gold leafing media used in all the images serves as a reminder that we are regal and Divine beings. That means that our bodies are also divine.

Other tiles that were available included tiles adorned with Julia’s two signature Adinkra symbols: the Ram’s Horn which represents strength of Mind, Body and Spirit and the Gye –Nyame which means “except god” and represents the supremacy of god over all creations and situations. These symbols are usually gold leaf painted in the home as wall borders for clients. But the debut of the sympbols on the tile was quite a hit. Also the Maat Feather which represents the element air and balance was launched and well accepted for the first time.
